I have successfully replicated this using the MEGA. I am however using a 8x4 keyboard matrix hooked up to an UNO using Keypad.h library to control the key presses, then sending midi data through Tx using serial.write() The library is quick with no delay. My issue tho is a major delay when sending a note off or velocity 0 command where the note still plays roughly 0.25 seconds after the command has been sent. Dont know if there might be a work around. Mabe someone has run into this. Also an optocoupler does not work for this for some reason so it is just a straight wire from UNO Tx to MEGA Rx. If i am wrong about this libary and has known issues, please let me know. With the mega rx1 jumped to tx0 I can see when the data is sent, using slow delays 1 second plus between midi commands to compare when.the sound if off compared to when the note off signal is recieved. You can noticeably see the command was sent, then after a delay, the note is turned off. FIXED: Forgot your program had more software to handle all the sliders on your piano :), Was playing around and found envelopeAmpR = envelopeAmp on line 94. Im going to be making my own synth and will probably bind that to a pot later.

Finally an honest guy, there's a lot of "midi arduino" lies on youtube where the designer doesnt even want to help, up to the point that they wont even reply to simple questions

is it not possible in arduino to have several ncos in a timerinterrupt to get polyphony.. maybe its not fast enough anyway hmm.. a dds is really not much more than an add so it should be pretty fast..
