Is it possible to route the MCLK to another pin on the EPS32? Possibly GPIO1?

Thank you for the great video! I'am struggling with the compilation of that code... I'am using platformio and it can't find avr/io.h for the numerous FreeRTOS files (installed via lib_deps). How exactly should the directory structure look like?

Thanks a lot, I was able to use this ESP32 internet radio (https://github.com/schreibfaul1/ESP32-audioI2S) with my homebrew TAS5753MD I2S power amplifier by just adding the two lines of code to generate MCLK. I am an FPGA newbie, now working on a stereo active 2-way crossover filter using FPGAs with SPI configurable coefficients, using your biquad IIR code as a base. I now just need to convert the master I2s interface to a slave - crossing my fingers... Your videos are much appreciated, you have a real talent for teaching ...

Hi, great video! I am really big fan of your work, just of curiosity, if dev board like ESP32 devkitV1 does not have GPIO0 as usable pin, (still can hack the wire into the module GPIO0 output and use same code as yours but it is not very elegant solution) can you use GPIO1 or GPIO3 as MCLK output just by changing this part of code: REG_WRITE(PIN_CTRL, 0xFF0); PIN_FUNC_SELECT(PERIPHS_IO_MUX_GPIO0_U, FUNC_GPIO0_CLK_OUT1); to this: REG_WRITE(PIN_CTRL, 0xFF0); PIN_FUNC_SELECT(PERIPHS_IO_MUX_GPIO1_U, FUNC_GPIO1_CLK_OUT1); or REG_WRITE also has to be modified to achieve MCLK on different GPIO? Hope for answer, keep up your great work!

Really great videos, thank you! Any idea about performance comparison between stm32 and esp32? Like how many floating point operations can the one system make compared to the other, and still maintain real time audio input and output?
Marko Samirić9 Months ago
Thanks for this video. I'm fooling around with stm32 and were thinking about esp32 i2s. This mclk solution will help me out since i'm using pcm1802 which requires it.

Really, really nice! Do you know how many I2S channels a ESP32 can handle? Or maybe even something like TDM?
